The Health Unit, Gender, Promotion of the family and Protection of the rights of children are subdivided in various services:

• Health: charged with coordinating the activities as regards health.
• Gender, promotion of family and protection of the rights of children: to apply the policies and progammes aiming at the promotion of gender and the protection of the children and to develop sensitization programs. It has a specific role of:
• Increasing medical infrastructures and medical equipment to facilitate the accessibility and the quality of health care to the population of the District.
• To promote a family healthy and balanced for a better future of the Rwandan Society.
• To fight for women's rights and of the child.
