Huye District Launches the 2025–2026 National Primary Leaving Examinations

The 2025–2026 National Primary Leaving Examinations were officially launched in Huye District at GS Butare Catholique in Ngoma Sector, marking the beginning of an important milestone in the academic journey of thousands of primary school candidates across the District.

The examinations were officially launched on 7 July 2026 by the Mayor of Huye District, accompanied by the Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, alongside other education stakeholders. Their presence underscored the District's commitment to supporting quality education and ensuring the smooth administration of the national examinations.

A total of 7,996 candidates are sitting for this year's Primary Leaving Examinations in Huye District. Of these, 3,573 are boys and 4,423 are girls. The candidates are taking their examinations at 38 examination centers across the District.

In his remarks, the Mayor encouraged candidates to remain calm, focused, and confident throughout the examination period. He also commended teachers, school leaders, parents, and examination officials for their dedication in preparing learners and ensuring that the examinations are conducted in a secure, fair, and conducive environment.

Huye District wishes all candidates every success in their examinations and encourages them to uphold discipline, integrity, and determination as they strive to achieve excellent results and build a strong foundation for their future education.
